Please help us out. If you find information that is not correct, please take a moment, update our Database Update Form (a word document) and email it as an attachment to our Database Resource Specialist, Rebecca Patton at rpatton@211racine.info.
Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria The 211 Racine program has developed and shall maintain criteria for the inclusion or exclusion of agencies and programs in the resource database. These criteria shall be uniformly applied and published so that staff and the public will be aware of the scope and limitations of the database. The database exists primarily to enhance access to human and social services in Southeastern Wisconsin. The following types of agencies, programs and services are strongly encouraged to seek inclusion: human or social services; health, welfare and education; and support, recreation, and advocacy. In general these services are provided by organizations holding IRS 501 (c) 3 status. For profit organizations are considered for inclusion on an individual basis. Inclusion of these organizations is based, in part, on: uniqueness of service, lack of comparable nonprofit service, extent of need for the service, and level of subsidized services available. Federal, state and city government agencies or contractors thereof providing such services are also encouraged to seek inclusion. Governmental agencies, departments, or contractors thereof, which do not provide services as described above will not necessarily be included. Those agencies, programs and/or services that pose inherent barriers to accessing such services, particularly those that have services duplicated by another provider, stand at risk of exclusion. Types of potential barriers to service access include attitudinal, economic, geographic, handicap, and language. |
